Jean Charest premier of Quebec is working to get all « control of gun legislation » transfert from federal.
Are you aware of that and are you working to stop that.
This is the worst thing that could append to us. Every province will ask the same.
Thanks

Yes. The NFA Quebec executive; President Phil Simard and Vice President Stephen Buddo, made a presentation to the committee discussing the Anastasia law.
.
It was clear from the content of the proposed law and from the reaction of the committee at the hearings that the introduction of this proposed law was a political move rather than one based on sound principles of public safety.
They were not prepared to address the real concerns and questions about it.
But, it appears that they did go away with an understanding of the issues that Premier Charest obviously didn’t imagine or consider when he thought this up.
Whether the Anastasia laws goes forward or not depends on you and every other voter in Quebec. Although it is now not clear if the minority Liberal government of Quebec can get this passed, it is Jean Charest’s and the Liberals law and concept.
The quicker he leaves politics and returns to private life, the quicker this ill founded proposed law will be dropped.
The entire misguided initiative on behalf of Jean Charest and the Quebec Liberal government does nothing to honor the memory of the young woman killed at Dawson College or prevent the same thing from ever happening again.
